Code Of Ethics

Atkinson Training & Development (ATD) staff and management at all times will act with honesty and professionalism when liaising with all clients, program participants, industry professionals and members of the community.
ATD will implement policies and practices that ensure the highest quality of Vocational Education and Training Programs.

All of ATD policies and procedures are developed to ensure compliance with:
1. NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) and Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) National Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
2. Commonwealth and State legislation and regulatory requirements.
3. National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training programs (2001).
4. The NSW Vocational Education and Training Act 2005.
5. The Apprenticeship and Training Act 2001.

ATD honours the Australian Early Childhood Code of Ethics and is committed to improving the quality of care and education for young children.
ATD will ensure:
1. The provision of high quality facilities in which to conduct its face to face programs.
2. The employment of highly qualified and experienced staff which share our philosophy and commitment to quality training and young children.
3. The provision of ongoing staff training to ensure the delivery of quality training programs and services.
4. The maintenance of confidentiality for participants and individual services.
5. The accuracy of any marketing and promotional advertising material.
6. Compliance with current Occupational Health and Safety and Duty of Care requirements.
7. Compliance with all anti-discrimination laws and Equal Employment Opportunity principles.
8. The maintenance of adequate records and security of all current and archival records.
9. The maintenance and continual improvement of a Quality Assurance System.
10. Staff and participants sign an acknowledgment of acceptance of our code of ethics.
