**This is a 12 months full time face to face course and includes CHC30708 Certificate III in Children’s Services & CHC50908 Diploma in Children’s Services.

 

How does it work?

At ATD we aim to tailor training to your needs. Our full time course combines face to face with online and workplace experience. This provides a course with flexibility which allows you to gain paid work throughout your course whilst studying.  

 

One Year Full Time Course

At Atkinson Training and Development we carefully combine face to face training with ongoing on the job training to ensure you are highly trained and prepared for your new role at the end of the course. The 1 year full time course consists of:

•  2 days face to face at college (approx 9.00- 3.00pm)
• 1 day workplace training in children services
• 1  day online study
• 1 day study at home
• 4 block practicum’s ( 0-3 room, 3-5 room, Children with additional needs & final prac at your choice)
• Fast tract options available

Topics include:

• Child Development of Children 0-12 years
• Program Development
• Health and Safety
• Service Management
• Communication
• Guiding Children’s Behaviour
• Legal and ethical frameworks
• Employability Skills In addition, you are required to undertake workplace training which is undertaken through one day workplace experience in addition to block practicums. The one day workplace visits each week assist you to transfer knowledge learnt in class into practice. On completion of your course, you will feel confident and competent at your new career.

No HSC or ATAR required.
